Video streaming at near TV quality take up between 300-700kps which has only previously been accessible to medium to large businesses but now available in more than 20% of homes in the UK.
To broadcast archived, view on demand, or live broadcast similar to TV you need the content decoding in to a suitable transit format for the internet and IP circuits. The way in which this is done is by encoding it in to a Microsoft Media Server format WMV which can contain multi bit rate for automatic connection speed detection.
